(Scene opens on floor, with Peter and Andrew talking, and James and John approaching)

Peter: I hate this job, fish all day and not a single fish!!!!!!!

Andrew: Peter, you’d better not let Dad hear you talking like that.

Peter: I know, Andrew, but it seems like there would be something more important to life than mending and casting nets.

(Andrew, seeing James and John approach calls out)

Andrew: Catch anything?

James: Nothing but a ton of seaweed!

Peter: Well it’s not our turn to clean the nets ----- so have fun!

John (to James): I thought we cleaned them last time.

Peter: John! You’re always trying to get out of work. If I didn’t keep track, we’d always be doing it!

James: Yeah you sure keep track alright!

(All stop as Peter motions for them to be quiet as Jesus approaches)

Jesus: Come Follow Me.

Peter: Who are you?

Jesus: Peter, I am of Jesus of Nazareth and if you’ll follow me, I will teach you how to fish for the souls of men.

(there is a brief silence, then Peter turns to the disiciples)

Peter: Jehovah has heard my heart!! Come on let’s go!

John: But Dad....

Peter: John, Dad has managed without us before, Come on and let’s follow this Jesus of Nazareth.

(John shrugs and all follow Jesus out of scene)
