(Jesus and His disiciples enter scene and Jesus is speaking to them. They eventually make their way to center right floor, where the Roman soldiers and Pharisees and Saducees meet them.)

Jesus: My time has come. Tonight you will desert me. For it is written in the Scriptures that God will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered. But after I have been brought back to life again I will go to Galilee, and meet you there.

Peter: Even if every one else runs, I won’t!

Jesus: This very night, before the cock crows at dawn, you will deny me three times!

Peter: No Lord, I would die first!!

(other disciples join in with promises not to desert him. Now the Soldiers and Jewish leaders approach Jesus)

Pharisee: Hello, Messiah!!

Jesus: Go ahead and do what you have come for!

(Pharisee steps forward and as he does Peter draws a sword and slices the ear away from the audience. Pharisee falls in obvious pain to his knees, holding his ear.)

Jesus: Put away your sword Peter!

(Jesus reaches and touches the Pharisees head)

Jesus: Be Healed!

Jesus: I could call down a thousand angels to protect me, Peter, but this is all happenning to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures.

(Jesus turns to the Soldiers)

Jesus: Am I some criminal that you have to come armed? I was with you daily teaching in the temple and you didn’t stop Me then?

(Soldiers take Jesus and lead Him out while the disciples flee in terror. All exit and lights go out for narration 5)
